NTS Culver City test lab is seeking a Development Test Engineer to assist with the development of test tools and/or test harnesses.
The job will also require developing test methodologies and executing /validating tools and/or products according to certain specifications or procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
? Developing test specification, test tools and/or test harnesses ? Developing/modifying firmware ? Maintaining released tools, as needed ? Creating software design specifications ? Possible involvement in plugfests and test events(with some travel as needed) ? Assisting with implementation of new test programs, technology services, test execution and training (including developed tools and testing projects) ? Interface with customers on providing test services including technical support and test reporting.
Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS:
? Must have previous programming experience (preferably C++ and Java) ? Must have good quality assurance product test and verification experience including troubleshooting /debugging skills ? Must have good communication skills (written and oral) ? Ability to work independently and in a team environment with some management direction ? Ability to jump between projects when needed ? Ability and willingness to learn new technologies and programs ? Protocol experience, preferably wireless (ZigBee or other) ? Embedded firmware development experience a plus ? Experience with test and measurement equipment a plus (e.g., spectrum analyzers, signal generators, network analyzers, oscilloscopes, data traffic generator, sniffers, etc.)
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
? BSEE (CS) or higher ? 5+ years of programming experience (preferably C++ and Java) ? 2+ years of Wireless Experience (preferably ZigBee)
NTS TRAINING REQUIRED:
Must become familiar with all NTS Policies and Procedures Must become familiar with consortium / alliance policies and procedures
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Test lab using various equipment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel; crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
